Mazda CX-50 2024, A Tough SUV With Variant Options And Interesting Features

JAKARTA - Mazda released a formidable SUV with a charming design for the North American market, namely the 2024 CX-50 model, with several improvements from the previous version. However, attractive offers don't stop there.

Mazda North America Operations (MNAO) presents several interesting things in the CX-50 2024 model, in addition to a sturdy and reliable design on off-road terrain.

Reporting from the Mazda USA page on Tuesday, July 18, Mazda CX-50 comes in two variants with various engine options. The CX-50 2.5 S variant is powered by a Skyactive-G 2.5 liter naturally assisted 4-cylinder engine which produces up to 187 dk of power and 252 Nm of torque.

Meanwhile, the CX-50 2.5 Turbo variant carries a Skyactiv-G 2.5 liter Turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with 227 dk of power and 420 Nm of torque. Customers can also choose options with up to 256 dk of power and 433 Nm of torque in this variant.

These two machines work with a Skyactive six-speed transmission system that is connected to driving all i_Activ wheels from Mazda. To increase reliability in off-road terrain, a Mi-Drive system is provided with an off-road driving mode and sport driving mode.

Mazda provides eight selected packages for CX-50 2024, according to customer needs. Prices vary from 30,300 US dollars (around Rp454.2 million) for the basic package CX-50 2.5 S Select, which provides the latest safety, comfort, and technology features with Mazda's distinctive exterior design.

For those who want more, Mazda offers the highest package, the CX-50 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus, which adds complete features including frameless rearview mirrors from the driver's side. This upgrade package is priced at around 43,300 US dollars (around Rp649.1 million).

The CX-50 2024 also comes with several premium color options, such as Polymetal Gray Metallic, Wind Chill Pearl, Zircon Sand Metallic, Machine Gray Metallic, and Soul Red Crystal Mica, with an additional fee of around 450-595 US dollars (equivalent to Rp6.7 million to Rp8.9 million).
