Blockchain Safe But Still Hackable? Here's The Boss Of Nusa Finance
JAKARTA - Blockchain and web3 technology is a technology that is still relatively new, especially in Indonesia. Therefore, literacy on web3 is still relatively low.
Currently, even the Indonesian government and players in this industry are aggressively providing education to the public. Because if not, lack of literacy can cause people to lose material.
Responding to the many cyber attacks targeting blockchain technology, Nusa Finance as a platform that provides Web3 financial services says that this vulnerability occurs because of how to access it.
"Blockchain is actually a recording technology. So to note, until now the blockchain is indeed a religious because the record has never been missed and has never been lost. So technologically, it is indeed a secure blockchain. But, how to access the technology, that is potential," said Nusa Finance CEO Wildan Ramadhan at the Media Lunch Nusa Finance some time ago.
Because according to him, to access blockchain, the public must use a third-party wallet application and also a token exchange. Thus, this reason is the loophole for cybercriminals to do phishing or spoofing.
"Because to access blockchain there are layers again, wallet applications, token exchanges. There, if for example the password is caught by someone else, for example, yes, that means the money can be taken," he added.

This was also confirmed by Nusa Finance Co-founder William Sutanto, who said "Yes, it is indeed one of the weaknesses in the web3. If the blockchain itself is very secure, yes. But this layer diaskes, we still depend on the metamask to connect. Where, if there are attacks such as spoofing, phishing, it becomes quite easy."
According to William, this vulnerability is still the domain of web3 actors. "But I don't think it will take long to solve that problem. Because now on web3 itself, there are so many innovations for this access," he concluded.
"So now the advice is for friends who play web3, if you have a fairly large asset, use a minimum hard wallet. Then also, don't forget to back up, to be told to your closest family. Because, there are incidents, those are the closest family who must be able to access them," William concluded.
