Sandiaga Uno Invites MSME Actors And Creative Economy To Take Advantage Of MICE Potential
JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno invites MSME players and the creative economy to take advantage of the potential for meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) in Bekasi City, West Java.
He said MICE's activities became a huge potential for Bekasi as a buffer zone which is close to the capital city of Jakarta.
"It can be meetings, company activities, exhibition activities. This is suitable in Bekasi, because Bekasi is a destination close to Jakarta, especially in Jakarta, now it is all full and expensive, so Bekasi can take this opportunity, with the target of tourism developers and the creative economy as well as MSME products that we encourage, to create 4.4 million jobs in 2024," Sandiaga said in a written statement, quoted from Antara, Monday, July 10.
For superior products that can collaborate when MICE activities take place in Bekasi, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy assesses that there are several products that can also be used as souvenirs for tourists, ranging from dodol, performance arts, batik to pletok beer.
With the opportunity available, Sandiaga will conduct mentoring training for creative economy actors, so that they have added value.
