Following Other Social Media, Twitch will also Launch the Stories Feature

JAKARTA - During the TwitchCon Paris 2023 event held on Saturday July 8, interactive video live streaming platform, Twitch announced several features and updates that will be coming to its platform in the future.

One of the newest features announced at the event is Stories. This Stories feature seems similar to features that already exist on other social media such as Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, and even Telegram.

"Today we're announcing that we're bringing the Stories format to Twitch, to help you reach your entire community, reliably, whenever you want, even when you're not live," read the announcement on the official website.

Twitch Stories is planned to launch in October this year. Once they arrive, the Stories will be live on the Twitch mobile app Following page, where they will be subject to Twitch’s Community Guidelines and automated security systems.

"We'll be launching Stories in October, and we'll continue to add more features over the next year," explains the company.

In addition, with the presence of this feature, creators will also have the option to limit the visibility of their Stories, whether for the public or only for those who follow them.

"The Stories format is well understood as short clips, images, text updates, polls. What's great about Twitch stories is your ability to reach all of your Twitch followers or just share with subscribers," he adds.
