The Body Of A Maluku Student Who Died In Russia Was Returned By The Provincial Government
JAKARTA - Student from Tial Village, Central Maluku Regency, late Jamaludin Maulana Rolobessy died of drowning in the Volga River, Russia. The Maluku Provincial Government (Pemprov) took quick steps to repatriate the body.
"The Maluku Provincial Government is taking quick steps to repatriate the body of the deceased after going through various other administrative and technical processes from the Indonesian Embassy (KBRI) in Moscow, Russia," said the Expert Staff of the Governor of Maluku for Law, Politics and Government, Zulkarnaini, quoted from ANTARA, Saturday, July 8.
He said that (late) Jamaludin Maulana Rolobessy was declared dead on Monday, June 26, 2023, for drowning in the Volga River, Volgograd City, which is 970 kilometers from Moscow.
The deceased is a graduate student with International Relations, Volgograd State, the son of the couple Hairun Nasir and Nurhidaya Tehumatena, who live in Tial Village, Central Maluku Regency.
He explained that Jamaludin Maulana Rolobessy's body arrived at Soekarno Hatta Airport on Thursday, July 6, which was then handed over from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the Maluku Provincial Government represented by the Head of the Maluku Province Liaison Agency, Saiful Indra Patta. Then on Friday (7/7) the body was dispatched from Jakarta to Ambon.
Subsequently, a handover from the government was handed over to the family of the deceased in the country (Village) of Tial, Central Maluku Regency.
"The cost of repatriating the bodies as well as the ticket fee for two family members as companions to Ambon is fully borne by the Maluku Provincial Government according to the direction of the Governor of Maluku," he said.
On that occasion on behalf of the Maluku Provincial Government, he expressed his deep condolences for the death of one of Maluku's best sons who was studying in Russia.

Representing the family, Jamaludin Maulana Rolobessy's uncle expressed his gratitude to the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Maluku Provincial Government for helping to return the deceased's body.
