Celebrate The Success Of Production Of 8 Million Vehicle Units, Daihatsu Promises To Continue Positive Trends

JAKARTA - Daihatsu vehicle distributor in Indonesia, PT Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM), recently celebrated the success of production of the 8 million units at the Sunter Assembly Plant, Jakarta, with the theme "Together Friends to Build the Country".

The achievement of Daihatsu Indonesia is also supported by the roles of several parties, including the support of stakeholders by involving more than 1,700 suppliers and more than 600 MSMEs in Indonesia.

Daihatsu owns five factories in Indonesia by producing 530,000 vehicles within one year. Due to its large production capacity, Daihatsu is said to be one of the largest automakers in Indonesia, as well as being able to become a production base in meeting domestic or global market demand.

In retail sales, Daihatsu also maintains the number two position for 14 consecutive years, by exporting its vehicles to more than 80 countries.

Yasushi Kyoda, as President Director of PT ADM, said that achieving the 8 millionth production was an extraordinary achievement for the company for its role in developing automotive industry in Indonesia.

"We express our sincere gratitude for the trust of all loyal customers, the government in Indonesia, and all parties who have helped achieve these 8 million units," Kyoda said in an official statement, Friday, July 7.

In the event, the Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia (Menperin), Agus Gumiwang, congratulated PT ADM in Indonesia. In his speech video, he hopes that the achievements obtained by Daihatsu can be increased so that this manufacturer becomes one of the largest four-wheeled vehicle manufacturers in Indonesia, in Southeast Asia, and even the world.

"Hopefully this good achievement can be improved, and further strengthen the position of ADM as one of the largest four-wheeled motorized vehicle manufacturers in Indonesia, in Southeast Asia, even in the world," added Agus.

Even though they have achieved this success, this does not make PT ADM complacent. They continue to improve in the growth of the automotive sector in Indonesia by building a new factory that is sophisticated and environmentally friendly in East Karawang, West Java.

PT ADM invested as much as Rp2.9 trillion for the construction of the factory with the concept of E-SSC (Evolution, Simple, Slim, Compact), and was able to produce 140,000 units of vehicles per year to develop future vehicles.
