Corey Taylor May Only Have 5 More Years To Go On A Physical Tour With Slipknot
JAKARTA - Corey Taylor said he may only have five years left to continue on a physical tour with Slipknot.
Taylor has been leading the Iowa group for more than 20 years, and they are currently on tour to support The End's new album, So Far.
"As long as I can do it physically, and as long as there's someone there who sees it, man, I'll keep doing it," vocalist, who will be 50 by the end of 2023, told German Rock Antenne.
"Now, if the quality starts to decline, then I'll know it's time to give up. And I've thought about it, maybe I still have five more years for a physical tour like this. I try to take care of myself. I exercise when I can.
Travel here [in Europe] is tiring; the food is terrible; so it's hard to do. But as long as I can keep doing it, at least that's what I want to do. So, yes, it's like that," he continued.
Corey added that if Slipknot wanted to continue to exist, he would "help them find someone" to take over his role in the front row of the band.

This 'Band' is always bigger than the sum of its own parts. And it's hard to move on without Paul [Gray] It's hard to move on when we have to separate from Joe [Joey Jordison]," Taylor explained.
"But at the same time, the people here are because we like it, and we always get something out of it."
He added: I've been saying it since day one if I didn't want to play with Slipknot, I wouldn't. And I think I've proven it. The reason I stay is because I want to do it. There's still something in my heart and soul that needs it. I don't know if it's good or bad. Obviously, psychotherapy will help me overcome that nonsense. But at the same time, it's... once in a lifetime, man."
