Salurkan 146 Sacrificial Animals, Pupuk Kaltim Sasar 6,351 Mustahik Di Bontang
JAKARTA - PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur (Pupuk Kaltim) through the Baiturrahman Foundation Islamic Community Development Agency (BPUI), distributed 146 sacrificial animals consisting of 101 cows and 45 goats at the celebration of Eid al-Adha 1444 Hijri. The muqorribs come from the ranks of the Board of Directors, management, employees of Pupuk Kaltim and the big family of the company, and the surrounding community.
The distribution of sacrificial animals was marked by the handover of sacrificial cows, President Director of Pupuk Kaltim, Rahmad Pribadi, represented by the Director of Finance and General Qomaruzzaman, to the BPUI Pupuk Kaltim committee at the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque parking lot, Thursday, June 29.
Chairman of the Eid al-Adha Committee of BPUI Pupuk Kaltim Julianta, said this year the sacrificial animal exchange was held offline and online for three days, on 26-28 June 2023. The process of accepting sacrificial animals from the muqorrib was carried out by BPUI Pupuk Kaltim through three mosques, namely the Baiturrahman Mosque with 46 cows and 33 goats, then the Fathul Khoir Mosque with 36 cows and 8 goats, as well as the Al Furqon Mosque with 19 cows and 4 goats each.
"The number of sacrificial animals has increased from the previous year with a total of 146 heads, as well as the mustahic of beneficiaries. In addition, BPUI has also ensured the health of all sacrificial animals, as a form of prevention of mouth and nail disease (PMK)," said Julianta in his statement, Saturday, June 30.
He explained, this year's mustahic on Eid al-Adha targeted 6,351 families in Bontang City, with a distribution process through six mosques in the Pupuk Kaltim area. Among them are Baiturrahman Grand Mosque, Al Furqon, Fathul Khoir, Al Mubarak, Al Ikhlas and Al West Java. The mustahiks are scattered in Belimbing Village, Telihan, Loktuan, Lontung, Bontang Kuala, Gunung Elai and Api. Then Gusung Island and Sempayang, Sidrap Village, Pipa Street and the Bontang-Agita axis road.
To avoid overlapping, some sacrificial meat is also distributed through mosques and institutions that submit requests to BPUI Pupuk Kaltim. The distribution cooperates with Pupuk Kaltim work units such as the Corporate Communications Department, the Department of Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL), JVC, subsidiaries and other East Kalimantan Pupuk partners.
"The mustahik are also determined through a survey by the BPUI Pupuk Kaltim team, to ensure that the distribution is right on target and does not overlap," added Julianta.
The Director of Finance and General Affairs of Pupuk Kaltim Qomaruzzaman, said that this year, specifically for the Board of Directors of Pupuk Kaltim, there were 4 cows for mustahik in Bontang City. with the distribution process according to the target determined by the BPUI committee. He also appreciated the high enthusiasm of Pupuk Kaltim employees and their families who sacrificed to Eid al-Adha this year, as proof of their concern and social sensitivity to others by sharing blessings.
"Hopefully this year's sacrifice will be a blessing for Pupuk Kaltim employees with their families, and provide benefits for the community, especially mustahik in Bontang City," said Qomaruzzaman.
Chairman of the Takmir of the Al Misbah Mosque, Bontang Kuala Jafar, expressed his appreciation and gratitude for Pupuk Kaltim's trust in distributing sacrificial meat to mustahik who is entitled through his party. Jafar said that Pupuk Kaltim routinely distributes aid for sacrificial animals through the Al Misbah Bontang Kuala Mosque, so that the benefits of the company are increasingly felt by the community.
"Thank you for the trust of Pupuk Kaltim who has given the mandate to the Al Misbah Mosque committee, for distributing sacrificial meat to the community," said Jafar.

Similarly, the Chairperson of the Takmir of the Baitul Islam Mosque, Loktuan Kusnadi, also ensured that the distribution of sacrificial meat in the mandate of Pupuk Kaltim would be forwarded to all mustahik around the Mosque area, as well as other residents who were entitled to receive it. Representing the Municipal Government of Bontang, the Head of Loktuan Village, Hadi Jumianto, also expressed his appreciation for the contribution of Pupuk Kaltim which routinely distributes sacrificial animal assistance to the residents of Bontang. Hadi considered this very beneficial for the community, especially mustahik who are entitled to receive it as a form of concern and share blessings with Eid al-Adha 1444 H.
"This assistance is very useful for our citizens, especially mustahik in Loktuan Village as a form of blessings on this year's Eid al-Adha momentum," said Hadi.
At the celebration of Eid al-Adha 1444 H, the extended family of Pupuk Kaltim and thousands of people around the company performed ied prayers in congregation at the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque, with the preacher Ustadz Fuad Tohari from UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta.
In his sermon, Ustadz Fuad emphasized the meaning of Eid al-Adha, as a radius and enthusiasm to share and help fellow human beings. This is also expected to be a guide that can be implemented in the daily life of Muslims.
