Additional Additional Hajj Pilgrims Scheduled To Arrive In Jeddah June 24
The latest additional pilgrims from Indonesia are scheduled to arrive in Jeddah City, Saudi Arabia, on June 24, 2023.
Director of Domestic Hajj Services of the Ministry of Religion Saiful Mujab conveyed that the jEmaah in an additional quota flown from the country to Jeddah City was around nine flying groups (clusters).
Indonesia's regular Hajj quota in 2023 originally covered 203,320 people, but then increased by 7,360 people because the government received an additional hajj quota for 8,000 people from the Government of Saudi Arabia.
Saiful conveyed that among the 7,360 additional regular Hajj candidates, 157 people did not pay the cost of the pilgrimage.
Meanwhile, the additional quota for special Hajj is intended for 640 people, including Hajj officers, so that the special Hajj pilgrims in 2023 will cover a total of 18,320 people.
JEmaah in the additional hajj quota was partly flown from the country to the city of Medina and partly to the city of Jeddah.
According to Saiful, the congregation's last group in an additional quota flown to the city of Medina is scheduled to arrive on June 23, 2023.
He explained that the visa management for pilgrims in the additional quota is still ongoing.
"God willing, the visa process will last until June 22, 2023 at 00.00 WIB. This will continue to process," he said.
The Hajj Organizing Committee (PPIH) has prepared a replacement if there are additional members of the Hajj pilgrims who cancel their pilgrimage.
According to him, the Indonesian government has obtained a permit to send pilgrims to Saudi Arabia until June 24, 2023.

The government has closed the payment of Hajj costs in 2023. According to him, the absorption of the 2023 hajj quota has been maximized.
"The Ministry of Religion always tries to fulfill the national quota. The enthusiasm of the pilgrims who queue so much, the government asks for an additional quota and this year it will be given an additional 8,000. Thank God it can be absorbed optimally," he said.
He said that until Wednesday (21/6) the visa management for 210,138 Hajj candidates had been completed.
