Sri Mulyani Flies To Malaysia To Attend World Bank Meeting In Asia Pacific

JAKARTA Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani is said to be in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to attend the World Bank Regional Leadership Team Meeting for the East Asia And The Pacific (EAP) region.

The Minister of Finance explained that his arrival was aimed at meeting with polycymakers from East Asia and Pacific countries to share the challenges and opportunities that occur in their respective countries.

"For Indonesia, I tell you that we are currently in the period of drafting the State Budget for the 2024 Fiscal Year. In 2024, Indonesia will focus on utilizing the State Budget for priority programs, such as financing to overcome the impact of climate change where Indonesia is also very active in voicing this in various international forums, infrastructure development, as well as structural reforms," he said in a written statement, Monday, June 19.

According to the Minister of Finance, Indonesia also continues to carry out digital transformation which currently has a big influence on the economy.

"I'm happy to be able to share stories and experiences with the participants who attended. I can get a lot of new insights," he said.

On this occasion, the state treasurer expressed his appreciation to the World Bank for holding this meeting and also continued to provide support to Indonesia, especially in terms of sustainable development and post-pandemic recovery.
