Wanting To Compete With Argentina, Indonesian National Team Strikers Should Play Effectively
JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team will face Argentina on FIFA Matchday at the Bung Karno Main Stadium, Jakarta, Monday, 19 June. Even though it will be difficult, the Garuda Squad still has a chance.
A tough task awaits the Indonesian national team strikers. The matter of scoring goals is not an easy matter considering that Argentina's back line is filled with quality players.
The striker of the Red and White Team, Dimas Drajad, is aware of this. He also revealed that the Indonesian national team strikers must play effectively to take advantage of opportunities in front of goal.
"Maybe for later (against Argentina) whoever plays in the forward position must play effectively," Dimas said in a press conference ahead of the match against Argentina at the Gelora Bung Karno stadium, Sunday.
"If there is a chance for pressing, do pressing. If there is a moment to kick, kick it immediately," he continued.
The mainstay striker from the Persikabo club expressed his pleasure at being able to play a FIFA match day match against Argentina, who is the World Cup champion.
"Very happy to play against Argentina, who is the World Cup champion. Hopefully we can give our best and later play according to the strategy instructed by coach Shin Tae Yong," said Dimas, as reported by Antara.
The coach of the Indonesian National Team, Shin Tae-yong, will of course field the mainstay players in the match later. The Red and White Team just couldn't field defender Sandy Walsh who suffered a calf injury during a training camp (TC) in Surabaya last Sunday.
Dimas Drajad asked for support from the supporters so that tomorrow's match can give the best results for the Garuda team.
"It's not easy to fight the World Cup champion (Argentina). But we (players) will do our best, we hope that the community will provide support for our national team and hopefully we can give the best results," said Dimas Drajad.
