Aceh Police Investigate Alleged Illegal Mining In Subulussalam
BANDA ACEH - Investigators from the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Aceh Police are investigating the alleged illegal mining type C in the Lae Kombih River, Subulussalam City, Aceh.
Head of Sub-Directorate IV of Certain Crimes of the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the Aceh Police AKBP Muliadi said the investigation of mining miners C was based on community reports.
"The community is troubling the existence of excavation C mining activities in the Lae Kombih River, Pegayo Village, Simpang Kiri District, Subulussalam City. Based on public information, we are investigating it," Muliadi said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 13.
Based on the results of the investigation, the Suddit IV team for Certain Crimes (Tipiter) of the Aceh Police Special Criminal Investigation Directorate found mining activities not equipped with mining business permits (IUP).
"Based on these findings, the team immediately stopped the excavation C mining activity. Then, secured heavy equipment and arrested three perpetrators," Muliadi said.

The three perpetrators of the illegal addition were SB (32), ED (50), and BA (27). The three perpetrators and heavy equipment types of excavators were entrusted to the Mobile Brigade Company Headquarters, Subulussalam City.
The three perpetrators are suspected of violating Article 158 of Law Number 3 of 2020 concerning amendments to Law Number 4 of 2009 concerning minerals and coal in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code.
"We invite the public to support the law enforcement carried out by the police against illegal mining practices. Mining without a permit can have a negative impact on the environment," said Muliadi.
