Hardjuno Asks Mahfud MD To Be Careful Announce The Confiscation Value Of BLBI Assets
JAKARTA - The Main Expert Staff of the BLBI Special Committee for the DPD RI, Hardjuno Wiwoho, appreciated the achievements that had been carried out by the BLBI Task Force, especially in his courage to reopen problems that had long been ignored by state officials before. However, the BLBI Task Force was asked to be careful when stating the value of the confiscated assets.
This is because the experience of the BLBI asset scandal provided by obligors turns out to be a fraudulent asset, aka its value far from being claimed.
"I asked Mahfud MD as the Steering Committee of the BLBI Task Force to be careful when stating the value of the confiscated assets. Because, it is possible that the assets guaranteed are not appropriate or fraudulent, aka the value is far from being claimed," said Hardjuno, in his statement, quoted Wednesday, June 7.
Previously, Mahfud MD claimed to have a total confiscated asset value of up to Rp29.608 trillion.Hardjuno reminded that the state at that time provided BLBI assistance in cash. And then paid by obligors in the form of assets which turned out when the asset was auctioned off by the National Banking Restructuring Agency (BPPN) was far from what the obligors claimed.
"So I remind you, this fatal BPPN error can be repeated by the BLBI Task Force. The asset must be sold first, make it in cash, and put it in the state treasury, then the value is clear. In the past, when BPPN took care of the obligor's assets, when the cash value was sold, it was only 5 percent of the estimate. Fatal and very detrimental to the people," said Hardjuno.
Hardjuno gave an example of Tommy Suharto's 120-hectare assets which were confiscated by the BLBI Task Force and claimed to have a value of IDR 2.1 trillion, which has been auctioned twice and has not yet been sold.
"I read the news today, June 6, 2023, that Tommy Suharto's assets, said the head of the BLBI Task Force, Rionald Silaban, had not yet been sold. This is what I said had to be careful," said Hardjuno.
According to Hardjuno, the asset claim by the BLBI Task Force of Rp. 29.608 trillion is very dangerous and can have legal implications for the BLBI Task Force if later when the asset is sold, it turns out that the value is far below the claimed.
"We have the task of reminding that in the past BPPN officials must deal with the law because of the claim of value of the asset. It can be considered collusion with obligors. Prof. Mahfud should be more careful. Just auction first, then you can say the obligor has already paid that much. Don't grusa-grusu, Prof., "said Hardjuno.
Previously, the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menkopolhukam) Mahfud MD conveyed that the difference in the calculation of state money borrowed by BLBI obligors/debtors would be completed by the BLBI Task Force until the end of their term of office at the end of 2023.
"Until the end of this year, we will complete the calculation difference because many came differently to calculate it, for example we said Rp5 trillion, he (obligor / debtor) said Rp3 trillion. He has proof of whose calculation, and we have proof of signature at the Office of the Minister of Finance, there is more evidence that is different from BPK's calculation evidence," said Mahfud MD when giving a speech at the Ex-BLBI Asset Handover Certificate in Jakarta, Tuesday, June 6.

In the event of handing over ex-BLBI assets at the Office of the Ministry of Finance, Jakarta, Tuesday, Mahfud MD said that the BLBI Task Force from starting work in June 2021 to May 2023 managed to return nearly 30 percent of the state money borrowed by BLBI obligors/debtors and has reached Rp30,659,140,833,166 (Rp30.66 trillion).
In detail, he continued, Rp1.1 trillion in cash (PNBP to the state treasury), confiscation and delivery of other collateral items and the delivery of asset guarantees of 1,784.34 hectares with an estimated value of Rp14.77 trillion, physical control of property assets covering an area of 1,862.91 hectares whose estimated value is equivalent to Rp9.278 trillion.
Then, the handover of assets to ministries/agencies (K/L) and regional governments covering an area of 278.6 hectares with an estimated value of IDR 3.07 trillion, and non-cash state capital participation (PMN) of 54 hectares with an estimated value of IDR 2.49 trillion.
This means that in total, there are assets worth IDR 29.608 trillion and IDR 1.1 trillion in cash.
"The achievement of the BLBI Task Force is extraordinary because there is only 10 percent pessimistic. We have now received almost 30 percent with the remaining 6 months," said Mahfud MD.
