Police Start Moving To Investigate, Alleged Denny Indrayana Leaks The Constitutional Court's Decision On The Election System

JAKARTA - Former Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights under President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), Denny Indrayana, was reported to the police. This is in the aftermath of the alleged leak of the Constitutional Court's (MK) decision regarding the Election system.

The police report was filed by the reporter with the initials AWW and registered with the number LP/B/128/V/2023/SPKT/BARESKRIM POLRI dated May 31, 2023.

The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Headquarters, Inspector General Sandi Nugroho, said that his party was currently conducting an in-depth investigation regarding the report.

"Currently, investigations are being carried out by Bareskrim Polri investigators," said Sandi in his statement, Friday, June 2.

Sandi said that the complainant brought a number of pieces of evidence in filing a police report. One of the evidence used is a screenshot of the Instagram account @dennyindrayana99 to a flash drive unit.

In addition, the reporter also participated in reporting two social media, namely Twitter @dennyindrayana and Instagram @dennyindrayana99.

In the report, the reported party allegedly violated Article 45 A paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 28 Paragraph (2) of the ITE Law and/or Article 14 Paragraph (1) and Paragraph (2) and Article 15 of Law No. 1 of 1946 concerning Criminal Law Regulations and/or Article 112 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 112 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 207 of the Criminal Code.

"The one who posted the writing allegedly contained elements of hate speech (SARA), Fake News (Hoax), Humiliation of the Ruler and Leaking of State Secrets," he concluded.
