Nio Launches ES6 Electric SUV, Can Increase 900 Km Distance

JAKARTA - Nio is one of the leading automotive manufacturers from China who is serious about developing electric vehicles.

Recently, the brand released an electric SUV, Nio ES6. This model presents several variants of the battery with extraordinary distance.

Quoted from Carnewschina, Wednesday, May 24, Nio provides three battery options with different range calculations. First, with a 75 kWh battery that can go as far as 490 km according to CLTC.

Then the second, with a 100 kWh battery pack estimated by Nio ES6 can be driven up to 625 km. The last variant is a semi-solid battery pack with a capacity of 150 kWh which can go up to 930 km when the battery is fully charged.

The car, which will compete with Hyundai Ioniq 5, is based on the NT2 platform, which is the second generation architecture created by Nio.

The SUV has a length dimension of 4,854 mm, a width of 1,995 mm, a height of 1,703, and a wheelbase of 2,915 mm With a four-wheel drive system (4WD) and in collaboration with a dual electric motor, the ES6 can power up to 482 dk and a torque of 700 Nm.

In addition to some of the advantages that have been mentioned, Nio also announced that ES6 will be equipped with features such as Intelligent Comfort Braking System (ISS), Continuous Suspension Damping Control (CDC), and Intelligent Chassis Controller (ICC).

Nio will market the ES6 on May 25 with two 75 kWh battery options and 100 kWh. The 150 kWh battery capacity will follow in July.

Regarding the price, Nio ES6 is priced at 368,000 yuan or around Rp. 778.2 million for a 75 kWh battery. Then, for 100 kWh, it is priced at 426,000 yuan or around Rp. 900.8 million. As for the 150 kWh type, it has not been mentioned.

The ES6 is available in ten exterior colors and four interior colors that will be marketed at home and Europe. Especially for the blue continent, Nio will name this SUV as EL6 due to trademark disputes with Audi.
