NGO Demonstrations For Cooperation, Companies In Bogor Claim To Be Intimidated

BOGOR Dozens of people from the mass group NGO Bogor Raya held a demonstration in front of PT Guna Sena Sejahtera (GSS) in Pasir Jambu Village, Sukaraja District, Bogor Regency, Monday, May 22. They demanded the company to cooperate in empowering local communities. Meanwhile, the company feels that the demands need to be studied more deeply, cannot be urged.

Corporate Communication of PT GSS Adrian Joshua Berijaya, Tuesday, May 23, spoke up regarding the action. Adrian Joshua said, the company objected to the request of an intimidating and threatening mass.

"The application for cooperation is carried out in an unethical manner by intimidating the company," said Adrian Joshua Berijaya in a press statement received, Tuesday, May 23.

In addition, continued Adrian, cooperation cannot be done just like that, especially with intimidating pressure. According to Adrian, rational considerations need to be taken by the company, both in terms of human resource needs and the company's current capabilities.

Adrian asked the mass of the NGO Barak Bogor Raya to end the demonstration.
