The Fourth Victory In The Derby Della Madonnina Is Increasingly Establishing Inter's Steps To The Champions League Final

JAKARTA - Inter Milan are increasingly solidifying their steps to the 2022/2023 Champions League final. There is no magic for AC Milan this time.

Inter advanced to the Champions League final 3-0 after winning 1-0 in the second leg at Giuseppe Meazza, Wednesday, May 17, early in the morning WIB. Lautaro Martinez scored the only goal of the Nerazzurri in the second half.

A pass from Romelu Lukaku was successfully used by Lautaro Martinez who escaped the offside trap. He waited for Maige Maignan from an eight-yard distance in the 74th minute.

This is Inter's fourth straight win in the Derby della Madonina. The victory that made Inter for the first time in the Champions League final after 13 years of waiting.

"In the next few days we may realize what happened. It was his original dream, but we always believed, had an extraordinary pace and won the semifinals in derby in this way very satisfying. I can only praise the players," Inter coach Simone Inzaghi told Sport Mediaset, after the match.

"They showed strength, determination, aggression, concentration, extraordinary. We played four derbys since January and won all four, we know Milan are Italian champions and have extraordinary quality, but the players are very good and deserve to enjoy tonight."

In the final, Inter are still waiting for who will be the opponent. They will face the winner of the match between Real Madrid and Manchester City in Istanbul later.

Inzaghi admitted that he would watch the second leg match which will take place at the Etihad Stadium. The chances of the two teams are the same after the first leg ended in a 1-1 draw.

"They are the two best teams in Europe. The first leg is balanced, you can see the quality they have," said Inzaghi.

"I am happy with what we have achieved and I will clearly watch the match later with great interest," he continued.
