8 Thousands Of Hajj Pilgrims Ready To Be Flown From Kertajati Majalengka Airport Starting May 28, 2023

JABAR - The first hajj departure in 2023 from West Java International Airport, Kertajati, Majalengka Regency, starts on May 28, 2023.

This was conveyed in the Vice President Corporate Secretary of PT Bandarudara Internasional West Java (Perseroda) or PT BIJB Dian Nurrachman in the discussion "Regulated Government, Hajj 2023 Insha Allah Mabru" in Bandung, Tuesday 16 May.

"The inaugural flight will be carried out on May 28, 2023, the congregation will be present the day before at the Indramayu Hajj Dormitory. Until the last day on August 1 and 2," said Dian. Kertajati Airport will serve Hajj flights around 20 klolters. and as many as 8 thousand prospective pilgrims from Cirebon, Cirebon Regency, Majalengka, Indramayu, Kuningan, Subang and Sumedang will be dispatched directly from Kertajati Airport. So there is no fast track at Kertajati Airport. So like the service during Umrah, "he said., said Dian, it is certainly a challenge for Kertajati managers in anticipating the number of prospective hajj pilgrims.

Meanwhile, the West Java Provincial Government continues to prepare to welcome the departure of prospective pilgrims in 2023.

Assistant for Government and People's Welfare to the Regional Secretary of West Java Province, Dedi Supandi, said that currently prospective pilgrims who will depart from West Java are dominated by the elderly.

"Why can it happen like that. This is because in 2020 there will be no departure, in 2021 there will also be no departure, then 2022 will be limited to departures under 65 years of age and when 2023 is opened according to normal conditions, it will happen like that," said Dedi.

Seeing this condition, said Dedi, the West Java Provincial Government has prepared special Hajj assistant officers for the elderly who have their respective duties and functions.

"There are public service officers, there are worship officers and there are also health workers. Now we increase the number of health workers to people who register online for each area is almost full. Everything is accepted because we really need conditions there," he said.
