Jokowi: Keep Political Year So As Not To Damage Unity And Unity

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said the situation in the political year must be properly maintained so as not to damage national unity and integrity.

"We have entered the political year which we must guard properly so as not to damage the unity and integrity of the nation," said President Jokowi in his remarks online at the National Dharma Santi Celebration in Saka 1945/Masehi 2023 reported by ANTARA, Friday, May 12.

Jokowi said that all parties should be grateful because the COVID-19 pandemic and various difficult challenges have been handled properly. This causes the recovery of community activities, and the growth of the economy again.

According to Jokowi, the nation's conducive situation must be maintained together so that peace and coolness are maintained, especially because the Indonesian people have entered the political year ahead of the 2024 election vote.

"That's why I invite Hindus wherever they are to carry out the state's dharma and dharma with full awareness, carry out the obligations of Sradha Bhakti as a religious community," he said.

In line with that, Jokowi also invited Hindus to uphold the honor of the state and nation, protect the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika.

Jokowi congratulated Nyepi and Saka New Year 1945 to all Hindus throughout the country.

"The holy day of Nyepi is an important moment to maintain the balance of alit and buana Agung and remind us to improve ourselves to be better, so that it is reborn as a new, more noble person," said President Jokowi.
