Acting Governor Of DKI Asks Residents To Manage Loss Of Land Certificates To Compensate Ciliwung Land Acquisition
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Heru Budi Hartono asked residents of Rawajati, Pancoran, South Jakarta to take care of the loss of land certificates as a condition for obtaining compensation for land acquisition for the Ciliwung River.
"Earlier, a resident named Siti Aminah, I asked to immediately go to the police station to state that the letter was missing which would later be processed at the Head of the Land Office," Heru said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, May 8.
Heru stated that as long as residents have a letter of loss from the police, it is hoped that it can be processed immediately through the Land Office.
"The area is the same and the PBB is the same and then they have completed the administration of the missing letter to the police station and it has been completed, so we can pay compensation," he added.
Meanwhile, contacted separately, Pancoran Police Chief Kompol Panji Ali Candra said residents were directed to report loss of land certificates to the Harta Benda Unit (Harda) at the South Jakarta Metro Police and Polda Metro Jaya.
"The Harda Unit will trace the ownership of this land by asking for witness statements so that it can be confirmed by the National Land Agency (BPN)," explained Panji.
Panji explained that ideally residents are trying to find photocopies of their previous land ownership certificates. However, if you lose due to flooding, you can go through the procedure as explained.

"There is no Harda unit of police, so residents should report to the Resort Police or Regional Police from there who will come directly," he concluded.
The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government prioritizes handling six flood-prone locations in the Ciliwung River to overcome inundation that often hit the capital when rainfall is high.
"Six priority handling locations are Cililitan and Cawang Villages in Kramat Jati, Rawajati Village and Pengadegan in Pancoran, Kampung Melayu Village and Bidara Cina in Jatinegara," said Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono when met in South Jakarta, Monday.
Heru stated that the priority of handling and location of flood-prone points in the Ciliwung River was based on data from the Cisadane Ciliwung River Basin Center (BBWSCC) of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) which is currently carrying out land acquisition.
