Police Help KPU Data On Mataram NTB Residents Not Yet Entered DPS 2024 Election
The Mataram Police have assisted the General Election Commission (KPU) in collecting data on residents who have not been included in the 2024 General Election Temporary Voter List (DPS).
"In this case, we take advantage of the role and function of bhabinkamtibmas in every kelurahan and village to assist the KPU, reminding residents who have not been included in the DPS to immediately contact the village head, RT, or the head of the environment," said Head of the Mataram Police, Kombes Pol Mustofa in Mataram, Friday, May 5, confiscated by Antara.
According to him, this is important to do so that there are no problems when the KPU sets a permanent voter list (DPT) for the 2024 General Election.
"Because if it is not registered, I'm afraid that in the future it will become a problem," he said.
In an effort to support the smooth running of the democratic party stage, the Mataram Police also supervised the issuance of criminal record certificates (SKCK) for legislative candidates.
"As we all know, registration of legislative candidates is currently underway from May 1 to 14, 2023. In this stage, many legislative candidates are taking care of our SKCK," he said.

In this case, Mustofa assured that his party works professionally and maintains independence in the process of issuing SKCK for legislative candidates.
"Of course, in this process (the issuance of the SKCK) we check properly whether this legislative candidate is not involved with criminal acts and is clean and has never been involved in criminal acts," he said.
In the early stages of the 2024 General Election, the Mataram Police also routinely activate patrols and gatherings to the offices of political parties.
"Because currently it is still in the registration stage for legislative candidates, so our focus now is on visiting political party offices in the hope of getting an overview of the security map at the next stages," he said.
