Today Lawyer Lukas Enembe Called As Suspect Of Alleged Investigation Opportunities

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned the lawyer for the inactive Papua Governor Lukas Enembe, Stefanus Roy Rening today. He will be summoned as a suspect in allegedly obstructing the process of investigating bribes, gratuities, and money laundering (TPPU) that ensnared his client.

"It is scheduled for Friday, May 5 at 10:00 WIB at the KPK's Merah Putih building," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Thursday, April 4.

Ali ensured that the summons was in accordance with the rules. The letter has been sent and confirmed to have arrived because there is a receipt.

So, there is no reason for Stefanus to be absent from the investigator's summons. "The suspect is expected to be cooperative in attending as the schedule is," he said.

Roy Rening was named a suspect because he was suspected of giving misleading suggestions. One of them, he allegedly asked Lukas Enembe not to cooperate in the legal process.

Previously, the KPK asked the Directorate General of Immigration to prevent the lawyer for the inactive Papua Governor Lukas Enembe, Stefanus Roy Rening and three other people from leaving the country. This prevention is carried out so that the four people are cooperative when needed information.

Not only Stefanus, but prevention was also carried out against Fredrik Banne, who is an employee of PT Tabi Bangun Papua; Head of PUPR Papua Province, Gerius One Yoman; and Commissioner of PT Nirwana Sukman. They will not be able to go abroad for six months and can be extended.
