Without Changing Others, Citroen Only Improves E-C4 Electric SUV Performance

JAKARTA - A French car manufacturer, Citroen has begun to expand its ranks for electric vehicles by releasing a refresher version of the SUV, e-C4.

Citroen refreshes the two models, e-C4 and e-C4 X. Indeed, in terms of interior or exterior, there is no change when compared to the previous version. However, the manufacturer only improves the performance aspect.

Quoted from carscoops, Wednesday, May 3, both e-C4 and e-C4 X were given stronger electric motors by producing 154 dk of power and 260 Nm of torque. This means that it is more powerful in 20 dk when compared to the initial version.

The manufacturer also increased its battery capacity by 54 kWh, slightly higher by 4 kWh from the initial trim. The distance also increased to 420 km according to WLTP calculations.

Even though it has a larger battery capacity, the charging in this SUV is not increased. Neither e-C4 nor e-C4 X comes with a 7.4 kW charge that can be compatible with a 100 kW fast charger.

This SUV variant is also equipped with a platform from Stellantis, namely e-CMP. This platform is the same as Peugeot E-208, Opel Muncian-e, and DS 3 Crossback E-Tense.

Well, although this is a new variation, unfortunately these two Citroen do not have the initials or additional names behind which distinguish from the previous variant.

Citroen has yet to announce its latest price, but it is estimated that these two SUVs will have a higher price than early e-C4.
