COVID-19 Update As Of May 3: 2,647 New Cases From Examination Of 36,362 Specimens
JAKARTA - The COVID-19 Handling Task Force released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 36,362 specimens were examined with the results of 2,647 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,779,631 people and active cases have increased by 1,502 to 15,707 cases," said COVID-19 Task Force data, Wednesday, May 3.
Today's recovered cases increased by 1,120 people, bringing the total to 6,602,575 recovered people. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 25 cases and a total of 161,352 people.
The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 811 cases and a total of 1,559,068 cases. Followed by West Java with 631 new cases with a total of 1,245,446 cases. East Java 337 new cases and a total of 643,614 cases. Central Java 242 new cases and a total of 659,271 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 291 recovered cases. Followed by East Java with an additional 257 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 252 recovered cases, and Central Java with an additional 100 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that had been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigen reached 116,462,255.
"Positive results per number of people examined or this week's positivity rate of 10.68 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 2,647 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
