This Electric BMW Car Lands In Malaysia, Touches A Price Of IDR 1.4 Billion
JAKARTA - The latest model from BMW i4 M50 officially paved the Malaysian market as an electric car at the Malaysia Autoshow 2023.
This car joins i4 eDrive 40 standard, i4 M50 will be the first electric vehicle to use the "M" emblem on the Malaysian market.
The Malaysian M50 version is equipped with a 20-inch BMW Individual Style 862 Aero, and an M Sport package consisting of a rear spoiler developed by M, and a black back diffuser.
There is also a Shadowline package that adds a black surround gloss, air inlet on the front, and rearview mirrors. In order to make this car look special, it is also equipped with a BMW M 50 Years emblem on the i40 M50.
On the front, equipped with M Sport front seat, M tricolor seat belt, dashboard covered with sensatec skin, and displaceable sunrooft glass.
To make the driver feel comfortable, BMW provided a Curved Display panel with a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a touchscreen at the center of 14.9-inch, both of which have been embedded with the latest BMW 8 operating system.
Also presented are climate control of three zones, keyless entry, push-button start, and regulateable front seats. For entertainment, the manufacturer also provides Apple CarPlay, Android Auto features, a 17-speak Harman Kardon sound system 525 watts, and BMW-engineered "machine" sound through the Electric IconicSoutheast.
Using an all-wheel drive system (AWD) with a front and rear electric motor, the BMW i4 M50 can generate 254 dk and 430 Nm torque for the front motor. Meanwhile, the rear motor can generate 308 dk of power and 365 Nm of torque.

This means that the BMW i4 can produce a total of 536 dk and 795 Nm of torque, which allows the electric sedan to go from 0 to 100 km/hour in 3.9 seconds.
This BMW i4 is equipped with an 83.9 kWh lithium-ion battery that can make this car go 510 km in a single charge. With a DC 200 kW charging system, the car can charge its battery from 10 to 80 percent within 31 minutes.
For the Malaysian market, the BMW i4 M50 is valued at 430,210 Malaysian ringgit or converted into around Rp1.4 billion. The series-4 is available in the colors Mineral White, Black Saphire, M Brooklyn Gray, M Portimao Blue, and Sanremo Green.
