Bela Istri Meski Telatbayar Debt, Jari Suami Putus Dibit Debt Collector

The man with the initials R (34), a resident of Garut Regency, West Java, was arrested after molesting a man with the initials U W (67). R committed an act of violence because the victim's wife was upset that she had not paid the debt.

"Yes, it is true that there was a criminal act of persecution, the perpetrator bit the victim's finger until it was cut off," explained Head of Public Relations of the Cilacap Police, Iptu Gatot Tri Hartanto, in a written statement, Tuesday, May 2.

The incident occurred in the yard of the victim's house which is located at Mangunjaya Hamlet Rt. 002 Rw. 016 Madura Village, Wanareja District, Cilacap Regency.

At that time R went to the victim's wife to collect debts. However, because the victim was unable to pay for it, there was an argument between the two.

Hearing the commotion, the victim came up with the intention to intervene, but R actually challenged the victim until a struggle broke out between the victim and R.

Then R bit the victim's finger which resulted in the victim's middle finger cut off at the tip of the finger.

After the abuse, the victim's wife also reported R's actions to the authorities.

For his actions, the perpetrator was secured at the Cilacap Police cell for further investigation.
