JAKARTA - The manager of Kualanamudi Airport, North Sumatra, emphasized that he had carried out regulatory directions in fulfilling safety, security and service aspects in line with the Airport Directorate of the Ministry of Transportation dated May 1, 2023, which was addressed to all Heads of Airports as the sole operational person in charge at airports.
"According to the letter, the company checks all facilities at Kualanamu Airport to provide facilities that meet safety, security and service standards for airport service users," said PT Angkasa Pura Aviasi President Director Achmad Rifai in a statement reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, May 2.

Head of Corporate Secretary & Legal PT Angkasa Pura Aviasi Dedi Al Subur said according to the letter, Kualanamu Airport ensures that there are SOPs for both operating procedures, maintenance and risk assessments that meet safety, security and service aspects at airports. Kualanamu Airport also ensures airport personnel have competency certificates in accordance with the work sector and have assignment authority.
"PT Angkasa Pura Aviasi also carries out internal supervision and control over the feasibility of airport facilities, implementation of airport procedures and operation of airport facilities and competence of airport personnel, as stated in the letter of the Airport Directorate," said Dedi Al Subur.
