Gasoline Distribution Increases 13 Percent In Lebaran Backflow, Highest In Central Java
JAKARTA - The Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) ensures that the supply of fuel oil (BBM) is in a safe condition during the peak of Eid backflow.
Based on a report from the National Command Post for the Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr ESDM 2023 sectors on Friday, April 28, 2023, the national gasoline distribution has increased by around 13 percent for RON 90, while RON 92 has increased by about 11 percent compared to normal distribution.
"The availability of fuel is ensured to be safe, because the Business Entity has built up (addition) of stock at all Public Fuel Filling Stations (SPBU), especially the main route of backflow. Until the end of the return flow, the Government ensures the availability of fuel is safe," said Head of BPH Migas, Erika Retnowati, Monday, May 1.
As previously estimated, said Erika, this year's Eid holiday period is longer than in previous years. For this reason, the Government continues to carry out intensive monitoring related to the availability of fuel in various regions.
Furthermore, Erika explained, when viewed from the distribution, the Central Java region, is the area most passed by travelers, especially Semarang and its surroundings. It was observed that fuel demand increased by 70 to 100 percent, even at several gas stations along the toll road demand could reach 250 percent to 300 percent when compared to normal conditions.
"Homecomers will fill up their fuel before traveling to their hometown. So we will focus on it (the Central Java area), especially along the rest area of the toll road. At the same time, the supervision of the distribution will also continue to be carried out by all Committees of BPH Migas, Echelon II and ranks," he explained.
Likewise, with the distribution of national avtur, natural gas and LPG, everything is monitored in a safe condition.
For electricity, the national system is also in normal condition. Where Daya is able to supply nationally above the peak load.
