This Unique Car Of Racing Will Be Driven By Indonesian Racers In Asian Pentas

JAKARTA - Hong Kong racing team Absolute Racing recently released one of the cars, Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II which will be included in the GT World Challenge (GTWC) Asia 2023 season competition.

Reporting from the official Absolute Racing page, Tuesday, April 25, the car that will use the No.11 will use a livery themed "Ducks" or commonly known as "The Underducks" which means "diversity" representing all nations and beliefs. This is represented by several pictures in it in the form of rubber ducks consisting of various colors.

In fact, the livery has been applied to Porsche 911 RSR-19 at the Le Mans 24 Hours in 2021 and 2022 when Absolute Racing took part in the legendary race.

The Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II will be driven by young racers from China, James Yu Kuai and Indonesian racer Andrew Haryanto for this season.

Andrew Haryanto is certainly familiar with this car after he previously rode it with the same team in various events in Asia. What's more, the couple James Yu and Andrew Haryanto won the Sepang 12 Hours race which took place last March.

Absolute Racing deployed four cars for the GTWC Asia event, namely two Porsche 911 GT3R and two Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II. This is the 13th year of the team based in Selangor, Malaysia became a customer of Audi.

The GTWC Asia 2023 event will take place in six rounds consisting of 12 races to start at the Chang International Circuit, Thailand on May 12-14 and will close at the Sepang International Circuit on September 22-24.

Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II is an upgraded version of the previous racing car. Meeting GT3 FIA regulations, the car is equipped with a 5.200 cc V10 engine that can emit 585 dk of power and a maximum torque of 550 Nm.

Since its introduction in 2022, this car has been included in various GT3 events around the world, including Intercontinental GT Challenge and GTWC Europe.
