Demand For Fuel Increases 42 Percent During The 2023 Eid Homecoming Flow
JAKARTA - Pertamina Patra Niaga noted that demand for fuel oil during the Eid 2023 period has increased significantly. PT Pertamina Patra Niaga's Corporate Secretary, Irto Ginting, revealed that the demand for gasoline type fuel at the peak of the RAFI Task Force on April 20 or D-2 Lebaran increased by 43 percent compared to normal averages.
"For those at the peak of the Task Force on the 20th, gasoline demand rose 43 percent," said Irto when contacted by VOI, Wednesday, April 26.
Meanwhile, gasoil demand was recorded to have decreased by 28.5 percent compared to normal averages.
He added that the average realization of gasoline distribution during the task force period increased by 5.4 percent from the March 2023 average.
According to him, the average increase has been anticipated previously by Pertamina so that people do not experience a shortage of fuel during the RAFI task force.
"In general, we have anticipated this by alerting all Pertamina facilities and facilities, as well as additional services such as modular fuel, standby tankers, and motorists that will help provide the best service for the community," concluded Irto.

Previously, it was reported that Pertamina Patra Niaga had increased its average stock by 13.5 percent for fuel oil products (BBM), LPG and avtur since early April 2023 compared to stocks in March, in anticipation of the flow of homecoming.
Pertamina also prepares additional services, especially in areas prone to density, tourist routes, disaster-prone routes, and functional channels operated by the Ministry of Transportation, the Ministry of PUPR, and the police.
These additional services include 1,505 Alert Gas Stations, 5,471 Alert LPG Agents, 44 Kiosk Pertamina Alert points, 402 Motoris Pertamina Delivery Service (PDS), 201 Standingby Tank Cars, additional tanks at gas stations, especially in small islands, and 20 Pertamina Siaga Houses.
