Hyundai IONIQ 5 Will Paving On Indian Streets This Month
JAKARTA - Hyundai's mainstay electric SUV, IONIQ 5 will start paving Indian roads starting this April. Previously, the IONIQ 5 was introduced at the 2023 Auto Expo in India.
Reporting from the Hindustan Times, Tuesday, April 25, 2023, the first group of IONIQ 5 will be sent to customers throughout India.
Even so, Hyundai said it would sell IONIQ 5 in limited quantities on the Indian market, which is 500 units for this year.
The car, which is a competitor to the model from fellow parent company, Kia EV6, will sell for 44.95 Rupees or around Rp. 820 million. In comparison, IONIQ 5 sells for Rp. 748 million for the Indonesian market.
As is known, IONIQ 5 has a large size, which is 4,635 mm long, 1,890 mm wide, 1,625 mm high, and 3,000 mm wheelbase.
In addition to its relieved size, IONIQ 5 carries a modern and futuristic, but simple theme. This SUV is equipped with a headlights and a back of a parametric pixel LED, a clampshell engine hood, an automatic door handle, and an alloy rim.
Hyundai also offers some interesting features in it, there are entertainment features such as the Android Auto and Apple CarPlay infotainment systems embedded in the 12.3-inch double screen which also includes instrument clusters.

IONIQ 5 is also embedded with BlueLink technology, a Bose voice system, ventilation seats, dual zone climate control, and Vehicle to Load technology that functions as a double charger.
In addition, the second electric vehicle model ever produced by Hyundai is also equipped with safety features such as level 2 ADAS, six airbags, ABS with EBD, Engineering Parking Brake, and a four-brake disk system.
The performance offered at IONIQ 5 is also relatively impressive. Planted with a synchronous magnet permanent electric motor that can emit 211 dk and a 350 Nm torque.
As an energy charger, the five-door-style crossover uses a 72.6 kWh battery pack that can provide a distance of 631 km in one charge. The manufacturer says that the IONIQ 5 can charge 10-80 percent in 18 minutes, thanks to a DC 350 kW charger.
For the Indian market, IONIQ 5 will be assembled at a factory in Chennai, India.
