Astro Moonbin Dies, Allegedly Suicide

JAKARTA - Sad news came from the Kpop music industry. Moonbin, a member of the Kpop group Astro passed away on Wednesday, April 19 at around 20.10 KST (18.10 WIB).

Moonbin was found dead at his residence in Gangnam, Seoul, by his manager. The manager immediately reported what he saw to the police.

So far, the South Korean Police who conducted the investigation suspected Moonbin died of suicide.

"It seems Moonbin took his own life," the police said, citing from Soompi, Thursday, April 20. "We are discussing a possible autopsy to determine the cause of death."

Before passing away, Moonbin is scheduled to appear in one of the biggest concerts for the Kpop group, Dream Concert as a unit of Astro, Moonbin&Sanha.

For information, Moonbin was born on January 26, 1998. In 2016, he debuted with Astro consisting of Cha Eunwoo, MJ, JinJin, Sanha and Rocky.

Before debuting as an idol, Moonbin also played in a famous Boy Over Flowers series. He played a young version of the character played by Kim Bum, So Yi Jung.

In 2019, Moonbin also had the opportunity to return to acting through the Moment of Eighteen series.Moonbin also has a younger sister who is an idol, Moon Sua from the Billie group.
