Heavy Rain Causes Areas In West Halmahera To Flood On Sunday Morning
Heavy rains caused Tongute Ternate Village, Ibu District, West Halmahera Regency, North Maluku (Malut), to be hit by floods on Sunday morning, March 2 morning.Camat Ibu, Warjin Solemen, said the flood that occurred in Tongute Ternate Village, Ibu District, due to high intensity rainfall, which has been pouring in the area since the last few days. He explained that the flood that occurred due to overflowing rivers in Tongute Ternate Village which then entered residential areas. In fact, he said, as a result of the overflow of flooding in Tongute Ternate Village caused inter-village linkage access in the area to be broken. "Currently, we are still collecting data in the field to determine how many houses affected by flooding occurred in the region," said the mother's sub-district head. Therefore, the community in this area is advised to remain alert to extreme weather in the central Maluku region.
