JAKARTA On January 18, Samsung said that the Galaxy S24 and S23series devices will receive an update of One UI 6.1. This update will be released in the first half of this year.

At that time, Samsung did not mention any other Galaxy S series. Instead, they mentioned other products such as the Galaxy Tab S9series, the Galaxy Fold 5, and the Galaxy Flip 5. In this update, the device mentioned will get a software update.

Devices like the Galaxy S22 and S21series are not mentioned, but these two series will still get updates. This is known after the owner of the Tarun Vats account on platform X, citing from 9to5google, distributed messages from moderators at the Samsung forum.

The moderator said that the Galaxy S22 and S21 series will get updates, but not coincided with Samsung's latest two S series. Even later, the S22 and S21 series devices still get updates in the first half.

The Samsung representative said that the One UI 6.1 version for the Galaxy S22 and S21 series will get a fix for One UI 6.0. They will also add several other updates such as new features.

Samsung did not explain in more detail about the new features to be brought by version 6.1. The reason is, Samsung is still working on the update. Once One UI 6.1 is ready for use, this version will be released soon.

In the One UI 6.1 update, S24 and S23series users will get an update to the Artificial Intelligence (AI) feature. Samsung does mention the new features in S22 and S21eries, but it is not yet certain whether the two series will get the AI feature.
