JAKARTA - Capella Space announced that two Acadia satellites will be launched by SpaceX in the first half of 2024. This news was announced by Capella on Tuesday, December 5.

These two satellites will be launched separately. The plan, Acadia-4 will be flown in the Bandwagon-1 mission after April next year, while Acadia-5 will be launched with a transporter-11 no later than two months later.

"Working closely with Spacex to launch our acadia satellite to various orbits is a big victory for Capella and will improve our ability to bring broader scope," Capella Space CEO said, quoted by Voi from an official release.

For information, Capella also cooperates with Rocket Lab to launch four Acadia satellites. All of these satellites were launched with an electron rocket that Rocket Lab developed.

The acadia satellite, which was first launched on August 23, managed to reach the orbit. However, the second launch on September 19 actually failed because the second stage of the engine was dead and made Acadia disappear.

Although it failed, Capella still entrusted her satellite to the Rocket Lab. Electron should bring Acadia in mid-November, but was postponed until mid -December.

Capella said that her company would cooperate with two companies at once, namely SpaceX and Rocket Lab, to build constellation in orbit with the middle slope (Mio) and Sun Synchronous Orbit (SSO).
