JAKARTA – Bard, Google's Artificial Intelligence (AI) chatbot, has a new upgrade. This chatbot is reported to have integrated with YouTube bots so that Bard can analyze the content of videos.

According to a report by The Verge, Bard can display very specific information such as key points from within a video. Users can also get detailed notes regarding ingredients and recipes from cooking videos.

The Verge gave a hands-on look at the feature by asking for the takeaway from one of the videos showing how to make an Espresso Martini. As a result, Bard provided a complete list of the ingredients used and each step in making them.

This video analysis feature has very high accuracy and reaches 100 percent. Overall, the tool works well although there are one or two things that might be left out of this chatbot's analysis.

This increase is certainly very good news and makes things easier. Imagine if you want to make a dish, but don't have time to watch it first. This method can certainly be an alternative.

However, the presence of generative AI is not always good. Although beneficial for some users, this increase could be detrimental for content creators. The reason is, content creators have put their energy into making videos.

In the future, YouTube users may become reluctant to watch videos in their entirety. They just need to go to Bard to find out the content of the video and make the traffic or number of views on the video decrease.

Until now, Google has not provided any statement regarding this update. We also don't know whether Google has made appropriate mitigations to avoid losses for content creators.
