Grand Theft Auto V Has Sold More Than 185 Million Units Around The World

JAKARTA - Rockstar's parent company, Take-Two Interactive, has revealed that its best-selling franchise, Grand Theft Auto (GTA) V, has sold more than 185 million units worldwide.

Revealed through its latest quarterly fiscal report, T2 states that GTA V has become the history of best-selling games in the United States (US), based on the number of unit sales that have generated US$1 billion (Rp15.2 trillion).

Not only that, the studio is also that other games, franchises from Red Dead Redemption, have sold nearly 79 million units worldwide, with Red Dead Redemption 2 selling more than 55 million units.

On the other hand, Rockstar Games has previously announced that Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare will soon launch to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 for the first time on August 17.

Red Dead Redemption tells the story of former criminal John Marston as he travels across West America and Mexico to track down the last remaining member of Van, the notorious Van, der Linde Gang, in a bid to save his family.

Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare will be priced at $49.99 on Nintendo Switch eShop and PlayStation Store, with physical releases arriving October 13.
