JAKARTA – After more than two decades of secrecy, the United States government will reveal several recordings regarding UFOs due to the demands of a newly passed law.

On Thursday, December 14, the United States House of Representatives (DPR) passed the National Defense Authorization Act (UU) for Fiscal Year 2024. In this Act, the search for UFOs is widely discussed.

Quoting from Space, the US military and other parties observing unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP), technology of unknown origin, and intelligence that is not man-made must submit some of their findings.

After being submitted to the US National Archives, several documents which are not detailed will be made public. However, this obligation only needs to be fulfilled if UAP search activities and other phenomena are funded by the budget law.

UAP is a new term for the search for UFOs and strange phenomena that cannot be easily explained such as objects, creature sightings, and much more. This term was coined in 1952 by the US Air Force.

Although the US military has been searching for the presence of UAP for more than 50 years, this law only targets search results from 25 years ago. Some of the collected recordings will be released, unless the president prohibits it and asks to remain confidential.

In fact, the details of the records the military had to collect over the past 25 years are still unclear. We don't yet know what records will be handed over to the US National Archives, but they are definitely related to UAP.

Before the law was passed, amendments touched on tougher regulations. They require the US Department of Defense (DoD) to publish records relating to publicly known UFO sightings.

However, this rule was removed for unknown reasons. With this action removed from the law, it is unlikely that the military will hand over records relating to alien forms.
