JAKARTA - Indonesia U-23 national team coach Shin Tae-yong (STY) admitted that he was not satisfied with the test results of the Garuda Muda team which had to be defeated by the Saudi U-23 national team with a score of 1-3.

In a trial match ahead of the U-23 Asian Cup which took place at The Sevens Stadium, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Friday (5/4) evening local time, Garuda Muda was only able to score one goal through Komang Teguh (32nd minute) after being left behind since the 18th minute.

"Certainly not satisfied (with the final result). But this match tried to make substitutions, almost all played in the first and second rounds to check the condition of the players, and in content the match was not too bad," said Indonesia U-23 national team coach Shin Tae-yong quoting Antara.

The South Korean coach revealed that in this match he was still focused on giving flying hours to all players to check the readiness of his physical condition. However, STY has an important evaluation, especially in the back line, which is not performing optimally other than being caused by a number of players in the back line who missed the first test match during this training camp (TC).

"Indeed, just checking the condition of the players, especially since there is a change of all players. There is indeed a problem at the back because there are some players who cannot join as well, so that's what I'm thinking about how to anticipate the back line," said STY.

Furthermore, Rizky Ridho and his friends are scheduled to conduct a trial match against the United Arab Emirates which will take place on April 8. In the last trial, STY will lower the composition of the core players to implement strategies and anticipate the opponent's candidate in the U-23 Asian Cup.

"For the next trial against the United Arab Emirates, it will be played for the core players first, to anticipate the game against Qatar on the 15th (April). Of course, the core team will be played more. Apart from the core team, there will be more opportunities for other players," said STY.
