JAKARTA - Static-X bassist Tony Campos has again said he is not against making new music with the band's current formation after he and his bandmates finished the tour to support the Project Regency album.

Static-X's latest full album, Project Regeneration Vol. 1, was released in July 2020. The first volume of two volumes, featured 12 new songs, containing many of the last vocal performances and musical compositions of the late Static-X frontman Wayne Static with the original line-up of the Wisconsin Death Trip album, namely Tony, drummer Ken Jay and guitarist Koichi Fukuda.

The sequel album, Project Regeneration: Vol. 2, is scheduled to attend January 26, 2024. The new 14 songs are produced by the frontman Xer0 who is believed to be the vocalist of Dope, Edsel Dope and mixed/mastered by their collaborator Ulrich Wild.

Asked in a new interview with Anne Erickson from Audio Ink Radio whether Static-X plans to create a new album from scratch after the completion of the Project Reeneration tour cycle, this is Tony said.

"I don't know about making full albums anymore, because albums are no longer the way people listen to music. But as far as recording new music without Wayne's vocals, there are some songs in Volume 1 and 2 that don't have Wayne vocals in them, and we ask Xer0 to vocalize on the song, and I think it sounds pretty cool," Tony explained.

"So if we continue with more new recorded material, we will most likely have Xer0 singing on the song."

All music related to Project Reeneration: Vol.2 is the result of a collaboration between the four founding members and their new vocalist/guitarist/producer Xer0. No additional guests appear on the album and no external contributions to songwriting, musical composition, or appearance in Project Regeneration: Vol. 2.

Among the two releases, Static-X fans around the world have been treated to more than two dozen new songs which mostly feature Static on the main vocals and are all released after his premature death.
