JAKARTA - Andini Aisyah Hariadi or better known as Andien, has been a soloist for 23 years. He debuted in 2000, when he was 15 years old.

Even though he is still working until now, Andien said his journey was not easy. Many moments made him stop because of a lack of self-confidence.

"In 23 years, there are so many moments when I feel like I'm semi shut down. I feel like I can no longer do it, I'm broken, discouraged, then I don't think I have any hope to live it anymore," said Andien at SCBD, South Jakarta last week.

"It's simple because I don't believe in myself actually," he added.

Many questions arise in Andien's head, whether he is able to stay in the music industry.

However, his love of music makes him unable to just leave his career as a singer that he has been living since he was a teenager.

"Music is like my breath. Because I sing a little bit. Maybe it looks like I'm still silent, but actually I'm singing in my heart. So, starting from songs, music, lyrics, it's all in my heart. That's what I think makes me keep going, "he said.

Andien believes that when he works sincerely, there is no other choice, the music industry will continue to be relevant to him.

"I think the industry will follow, when we are honest and real working from within our hearts," said Andien.

During his 23 years of work, Andien has released 8 albums. Most recently, he released the album Dan Lalu on September 29. His new album contains 7 songs, with the song Dan Lalu as the title track.
