This Is Tobing's Postal Argument Regarding The Prohibition Of Songs He Created With Boxes

JAKARTA - Regarding the prohibition of the Box to perform songs created together, Posan Tobing has his own arguments.

Posan said the songs that were composed together were one unit that was not separated.

"The song is a unit, it cannot be separated," said Posan Tobing when met at Polda Metro Jaya on Wednesday, September 6.

Jerys Napitupulu, Posan's attorney also stated that his client still has the right to prohibit people from performing songs created together.

"Although there are four or five songs composed, all of the creators can sing, but there must be permission from other creators," said Jerys Napitupulu.

Then, Jerys analogized his client's case with the case of inheritance sales, which must obtain permission from all heirs.

"The logic is easy, if possible, assume that the legal logic, that there is a house inherited, and there are three heirs. The house cannot be sold if there is no approval from all the heirs," said Jerys.

"Just like this, this song, can't be played without the permission of all its creators," he continued.

Meanwhile, the song that was sung was Still Love, Empty Toejoeh, Just Leave It, Just Slow, And Always Love.

The five songs are known to have been created by Posan Tobing with Pay Burman, Dewiq and several Box personnel separately.

The Box, in a press conference on July 26, questioned Posan's subpoena which also banned songs created together.

At the press conference, the Box even sent a return subpoena to Posan Tobing.
