JAKARTA - An Austrian automotive company, KTM launched the latest motorcycle model with the theme of supermoto and touring, KTM 890 SMT.

KTM 890 SMT has been awaited for a long time by off-road sports motorcycle fans. This is the latest generation of the SMT KTM family after previously a version of 990 was released in the early 2010s.

In terms of appearance, KTM 890 SMT has a small and sleek body design, such as off-road motorcycles in general. However, the machine offered attracted quite attention, quoted from VisorDown, Wednesday, April 26.

Equipped with an 889 cc LC8 parallel-mbar engine, the same runway as the one used such as KTM 890 Duke and KTM 890 Adventure.

With this machine, KTM 890 SMT can generate up to 105 dk of power with a peak torque of 100 Nm which of course makes motorists more challenged to ride the iron horse.

To support the performance of this motorbike, KTM pairs a 17-inch front and rear rim with suspensions from WP Apex on the front and rear as well as a 320 mm double brake disk in front and 260 mm behind which optimizes braking performance.

Electronic features are also embedded in 890 SMTs such as transaction control, and the Anti-Brake System (ABS) system to help motorists stabilize their motors while braking. KTM offers four modes at 890 SMT, namely Rain, Street, Sport, and Track which can adjust traction controls more optimally.

The last feature is the warm grip and Motor Slip Regulation (MSR) to the software package. Quickshifter + and cruise control are also other options embedded in 890 SMT.
