This Is The Reason Honda Only Brings Honda Accord Hybrid Variants To Indonesia

JAKARTA - PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) has just presented an All-New Honda Accord to fill the Premium Honda market in Indonesia. This car looks different from the previous generation.

In addition to appearing different and especially more sporty, APM only presents this model in one variant, namely RS e: HEV or hybrid. Unlike CR-V which comes with two variants, namely 1,5L Turbo which is an internal combustion engine (ICE) and 2.0L e:HEV is a hybrid.

Yusak Billy, as Sales & Marketing and Aftersales of PT HPM, said that only the hybrid variant for Accord was due to more consumer needs.

"We'll see what consumer needs are, so right now we see they need the highest premium sedan with the technology," Billy told VOI in Jakarta, Thursday, December 7.

He also added that his party was reluctant to add a pure ICE Accord variant and believed that Accord e: HEV would attract more interest in the Indonesian automotive market.

We will only present a variant of RS e: HEV only. There is no desire to present a pure ICE version of Accord, "said Billy.

Please note, the eleventh generation Honda Accord is also available in the variant of combustion engines (pure ICE) in overseas markets, precisely in the US by offering the LX and EX variants as fully gasoline and Sport, EX-L, Sport-Touring, and Touring-Hybrid lines for the hybrid lineup.

For the ICE version, the car has a 1.5 liter turbocharged engine with a strength of 192 dk and a 260 Nm torque that has responsive performance assisted by smooth CVT transmission capabilities.

In Uncle Sam's country, the two variants are the basic type of the Accord family and are priced at US$27,895 or equivalent to Rp431.6 million for LX and EX for US$29,910 or around Rp462.8 million.

Well, the All New Honda Accord RS e: HEV, which was first present in Indonesia, is equipped with various color choices, ranging from Platinum White Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl, and Ignite Red Metallic. This premium sedan is priced at IDR 959.9 million, Jakarta OTR and will be delivered in January 2024.
