JAKARTA Mizan Pictures and Max Pictures collaborate to produce remake films from the TVRI series entitled Home Future. This film will be starring Laura Basuki, Ferdi Nuril, Widyawati, Ciara Brosnan, and Cok Simbara.

The House of the Future is a TVRI series that aired in the 1980s. This series tells the story of a family of three generations who live a simple life in a village. This remake film will still maintain the main story of the series.

Laura Basuki will play Surti, the wife of Pak Sukri, played by Ferdi Nuril. Widyawati will play Kokom, the mother of Surti. Ciara Brosnan will play the role of Gerhana, the son of Pak Sukri. Cok Simbara will play Grandpa, the father of Kokom.

Didapuk is the director of the film Rumah Masa Depan, Danial Rifki revealed, he felt relieved by the presence of this film. "Alhamdulillah, it finally aired too. Hopefully this film can open our memories in the 1980s," said Danial Rifki from a media broadcast received by VOI, Thursday, November 9.

Ferdi Nuril, who was successful through the film Tears At the End of Sajadah, revealed that he had many discussions with the director to get Sukri's character.

"First, there were a lot of discussions with Mr. Danial about what the family background would be like in the previous series. We wanted to make the issue more related, what kind of language style, gestures. One thing is interesting for me, so when we were in Jakarta until the beginning in Cibereum village, we were in a modern style, suddenly we had to stay overnight, shop at the market, our costumes changed to the 80s. That's what's interesting, "said Fedi Nuril.

Ferdi Nuril's co-star, Laura Basuki, who won the Asia Wide Award at the Marie Claire Asia Star Award at the 2023 Busan International Film Festival, admitted that she had never watched the Future Home series.

"At that time, I had never watched the House series of the Future. So, I was looking for it, and coincidentally on the internet there wasn't much information, at least a piece of the film. Then, with Danial Rifki, he actually created a new character. However, there was still a core from Surti in the 80s. Actually, there were most discussions with the director and chatted with friends who had experienced it more or less," explained Laura Basuki.
