Lebaran Backflow, KCIC Predicts 20,000 Homecomers UseEXT Today

The surge inPORT passengers on the backflow of the Lebaran homecoming (doc. KCIC).

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) predicts that the volume of users/homecomers using the Fast Train bettersh at the peak of the 2024 Eid backflow today, Sunday, April 14, 2024, will reach more than 20,000 passengers.

General Manager of KCIC Corporate Secretary, Eva Khairunnisa, said that on April 14, 2024, it was the last weekend before Eid al-Fitr leave. The surge in passengers occurs for departure relations from Tegalluar-Halim or from Padalarang-Halim.

"The movement and increase in passengers are starting to appear and it is predicted that today will be the peak of the backflow of thefake Fast Train. This can also be seen from the sales of tickets for the departure of Sunday, April 14, 2024, which has exceeded 17 thousand as of Saturday night, April 13, 2024," Eva said in a written statement, Sunday, April 14, 2024.

Eva estimates that the number ofPORTed passengers can even exceed 20,000 for passenger volume. Moreover, ticket sales are still ongoing and it is predicted that passengers who will buy online and offline on D day are still high.

Passenger departures are dominated by departing from Bandung Station and using Feeder Trains to Padalarang Station. Not a few passengers also choose departures directly from Padalarang and Tegalluar Stations.

He assessed that the passengers' favorite hours at the peak of this backflow were from 13.00 WIB to 20.30 WIB with occupancy above 90 percent.

"As for trips outside of that hour, the occupancy is already at 75 percent," he said.

KCIC also appealed to passengers to comply with the provisions related to their luggage so that the comfort of all passengers can be maintained.

Each passenger can only carry three items with a maximum dimension of 100 cm x 30 cm x 40 cm with a maximum weight of 20 kg. The three items can be in the form of two suitcases or boxes and one backpack or handbag.

Passengers are also prohibited from carrying animals, narcotics, firearms and sharp weapons (sajam), flammable goods, sharp objects, and goods that are not allowed by officers and statutory regulations.
