JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono and his staff accompanied President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to inaugurate the Anutapura Medical Center (AMC) Building of the Anutapura Regional General Hospital (RSUD) in Palu City, Central Sulawesi (Central Sulawesi).

On this occasion, the Director General of Human Settlements at the Ministry of PUPR, Diana Kusumastuti, said that the reconstruction of the Anutapura Hospital was carried out with loan funds from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

"(Construction work) adopts technology from Japan through collaboration with JICA which is carried out by contractor PT Adhi Karya," Diana said in a written statement, Tuesday, March 26.

Meanwhile, Director of the Anutapura Hospital Maria Rosa Da Lima Rupa said, after repairs and starting use in September 2023, it was very helpful for people who were doing outpatient treatment and hospitalization.

"When compared to the previous building, it was much better, especially with earthquake-resistant technology. So, we health workers feel safer. We from the community and the Palu City Government are very grateful to the Ministry of PUPR and JICA for helping repair the RSUD building," he said.

The construction of the Anutapura Medical Center (AMC) Building at the Anutapura Hospital itself will be held from 2021 to 2024.
