Groundbreaking Jambuluwuk Nusantara Hotel, Jokowi: Solution For Guests Visiting IKN

JAKARTA - Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated the groundbreaking or groundbreaking of the Nusantara Jambuluwuk Hotel in the State Capital (IKN) Nusantara, East Kalimantan, today.

In his remarks, Jokowi said that in August, the ceremony to commemorate the Proclamation of Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia will be held at IKN.

"The question is, where are the guests staying?" Jokowi asked as seen on the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube, Wednesday, January 17.

The President also replied that Balikpapan could be a solution. This is because the 47 kilometer (km) toll road is also targeted to be completed next July.

"But, it would be more correct if in the capital city of Nusantara there were hotels that had been completed. I am sure, 1-2 hotels will definitely be completed in the capital city of the archipelago," said Jokowi.

"And the hotels that are in the process of being built, both 4 stars and 5 stars plus Jambuluwuk hotels and resorts, are the sixth," he added.

Today, said Jokowi, the groundbreaking for the construction of the Jambuluwuk Nusantara Hotel has been carried out again. This is a 5-star hotel with a modern concept and Indonesian Ethnic.

"With an investment of approximately Rp. 300 billion and a capacity of around 200 rooms. This will increase the number of hotels operating in IKN, increasing the availability of hotel rooms. So, guests visiting IKN have no trouble getting accommodation," he said.

Jokowi believes that the Jambuluwuk Nusantara Hotel will also make an important contribution to IKN growth and also the surrounding areas.

Furthermore, said Jokowi, with the development of IKN as it is today, where every month there is a groundbreaking for the development of various types of infrastructure, there is no reason for investors to hesitate to invest in the capital city of Nusantara.

Moreover, he continued, the government has provided various incentives and ease of doing business for investors to invest in IKN.

"By saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim, this afternoon I officially declare that the groundbreaking of the Jambuluwuk Nusantara Hotel has begun," he added.
