JAKARTA - The online single submission (OSS) system presented by the government has been widely utilized by business actors. The Ministry of Investment/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) noted that 7,146,105 business identification numbers (NIB) have been issued through the OSS system. The details are micro-enterprises reaching 6,887,479 NIB, followed by small businesses with 187,402 NIB, medium-sized businesses as much as 23,350 NIB, and large businesses with 47,874. This fully online NIB management will not be able to run without the availability and understanding of business actors, so thank you to business actors who are already very cooperative," said Special Staff and Spokesperson for the Ministry of Investment/BKPM Tina Talisa, as reported by Antara, Sunday 31 December. Tina also highlighted the large contribution of micro and small business actors (UMK) in the very dominant issuance of NIB. In addition, her party also received a lot of input from business actors for the refinement of the OSS system to make it more user friendly.

Tina emphasized that consultation services, both face-to-face and digital, are still needed to assist in the handling of questions and/or technical obstacles of business actors. Currently, OSS issues an average of 13,000 to 15,000 NIBs per day, even more than 50,000 NIBs a day at a certain time. Until December 29, 2023, the five provinces with the most NIB is West Java (1,276,268 NIBs), East Java (1,101,689 NIBs), Central Java (835,287 NIBs), DKI Jakarta (596,518 NIBs), and Banten (347,456 NIBs).
