JAKARTA – Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani, who accompanied President Joko Widodo at the G20 India Summit, said that the Dutch government expressed its commitment to participate in sustainable development in ASEAN. The Minister of Finance explained that the President also hopes that the Netherlands can provide support to Indonesia in developing low-carbon technology.

"We also want to encourage the abolition of the EU Deforestation Regulation, as well as Indonesia's initiative to join as a member of the OECD," she said.

The Minister of Finance added that Indonesia also appreciates the Dutch initiative to build a Center of Excellence in Surakarta. Not only that, the Indonesian government expressed support for the Netherlands in terms of plans to hold a summit related to the fields of new/renewable energy and climate.
